Bike fit and stuff...

I just found a new resource right around the corner. I found Endurance Performance Training Center as I was researching the Wobble Naught bike fitting system. I figured that 8 days of hardcore racing would be much more comfortable if I was precisely fit on my bike! I went in for the bike fit on Tuesday and had both my mountain bike and road bike dialed in. Yesterday I put in a 2 hour spin ride on the road bike, and, so far its feeling pretty good.
Endurance offers a lot of cool stuff for endurance athletes! I was impressed walking in... In fact I am going back next week for some intense "physiological testing". They will put me on a trainer and hook me up to a tube... the results should give me an idea of my base fitness and some parameters to base my training on. Should be fun.

2006 Season comes to a close with a podium

Master Men 35+ B's
5th place in the final race
4th place in the Pilarcitos Series

I think it may be the Accelerade! Thanks again Steve for sponsoring the Cape Epic adventure.

Well, the 2006 season is officially over. I am taking about a week off to "recover" both physically and mentally from a long season. After my short little break it will be time to shift into endurance training mode which will mean many hours of riding my bike. I am actually already looking forward to a new direction and the chance to get out and just ride! It will be strange this year as I am giving up my swimming and running to really focus on cycling.
